Mentoring
Kickstart UK’s mentoring programmes provide personalised support for young people who need extra guidance, encouragement and confidence. Working closely with schools, pastoral teams and SENCOs, we create positive relationships and tailored plans that help young people stay engaged, overcome challenges and achieve their potential.

MENTORING
Tailored Support That Helps Young People Thrive
Kickstart UK’s specifically designed mentoring programmes provide tailored support for young people who require additional guidance, encouragement, and intervention both inside and outside of education settings. Our mentoring approach is centred around building positive relationships, improving confidence, increasing engagement, and supporting long-term personal development and educational outcomes.
We work closely with schools, pastoral teams, and SENCOs to create targeted mentoring strategies that meet the individual needs of each young person. Using progress tracking, personalised targets, and regular reviews, we are able to monitor development, celebrate achievements, and provide measurable impact for schools and families. Our programmes are also informed by current educational guidance, Ofsted frameworks, and best practice surrounding inclusion, wellbeing, and personal development.
Kickstart UK has extensive experience supporting children and young people with SEND and EHCPs, ensuring mentoring interventions are adapted to individual learning, behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
We work collaboratively with school SENCOs to align support with EHCP outcomes, graduated approaches, and wider school strategies to help young people thrive within education and beyond. Current national SEND reforms continue to highlight the importance of close SENCO collaboration, early intervention, progress monitoring, and inclusive support pathways for young people.
